| SQ15D2 in 10.0 Cu Ft Ported Enclosure @ 700 Watts 17 Hz | ||||||

This is an almost “ultimate” home theater sub. It requires a big cabinet, and a big, high current amp, but rewards you with powerful bass down to 15 Hz!!! [Can we say “WOW!” again?] The tuning shown is not the only possibility (especially if you have an eq. that can give you fine control under 30 Hz) but is best overall for strong bass without eq. Two or four of these will definitely make the house seem to move around you. Use a port 5” I.D. x 14 7/8” long, or, better, a port 6” I.D. x 22 1/2” long. Be sure to allow for the port in your box volume. If you think you might have a lot of signal below 15 Hz, you should add a sharp HP filter at around 13-14 Hz. However, we suspect most listeners avid enough to build 10 cu. ft. boxes for their homes are also savvy enough to not need our advice! Note this unit is not shielded, but we will look into adding a bucking magnet, on a special order basis, at modest additional cost, if we get some interest in it.
