 Credence subwoofer performance curve

Home and car system.

If you are looking for a great home theater system, this might be the one for you! This design uses our radial roll, high power 12RPSLD4 cast frame woofer in a 2.0 cu. ft. enclosure tuned to 25 Hz.  The –3dB point on the low end is 24 Hz, with useable response down to 20 Hz.  Used in-car, the response is of course even more powerful!  The port requirement is 3” I.D. x 13 1/8” long, or better, 4” I.D. x 24 1/2” long, so, if you don’t use an external port, the volume in the cabinet occupied by the port will be substantial.  Also, use a sharp High Pass filter at 20 Hz, for good power handling.  Then sit back and enjoy – for the size of the package, this system has a LOT of bass punch. Note:  Not shown – If you are looking for “audiophile” bass “dead flat” down to a cutoff of 23.4 Hz, increase the cabinet volume to 2.1 cu. ft. and use a 4” I.D. x 26 ½” long port.  You’ll still need a sharp High Pass filter at 19-20 Hz for  best power handling.
